Almost the end of April

Wow, this month has flown by. I will be happy to have warmer weather. April has been relatively warm but on the 16th of this month, our office building turned off the heat and the last couple of days it hasn't gotten much warmer then 60 outside and let me tell you it is a bit chilly in here as they are forced to pump fresh air in here because there are no windows to open. Today I am wearing a pink sweater and I am so cold I put on a red cardigan (I keep here just in case) just to keep warm. I am sure I look really fashionable!! But who cares when you are cold and a sweater warms you up,, I'm all for that.

On another note, it is so awesome to look out of my 7th floor office and look down on the earth turning green. I do love this time of year when the earth wakes up. We are short on moisture, hope we get some rain soon. We had about an inch last weekend and the grass turned emerald green overnight.

It is this time of year too that I want to just start pitching stuff. It seems over the winter a house accumulates so much junk. A house across the street has been empty for a bit and I noticed that they must be renovating it as there is a dumpster in the driveway, and I think,, hmmmmm,,, maybe I could get one and just start pitching. I have given a lot of stuff to the DVA and Lupus and whoever calls and asks for donations, but there are some things, that just need to hit the garbage!! Oh well, if I die then it will be my kids fortune to have to go through all my treasures and throw them in the dumpster!! (^_^)

That's all I have to say this morning,,, just checking in here.

Blessings

Its About Time

Sanjaya is gone!!!! He may be a nice kid with weired hair,, but sorry world,,, that boy cannot sing!!! Well he can carry a tune, but he is not star material!! I am glad that the world finally got it right last night, but whoa..... Blake and Lakisha in the bottom 3????? Well I can understand cuz I voted for Phil as many times as I could just so he would not be in the bottom with hopes that Sanjaya would finally get das boot!!!! I must not have been the only one,, but whew,,, I would have been super sad if Lakisha or Blake had gotten the boot. I really want the final 3 to be Blake, Lakisha and Melinda!!! The rest of the singers left have great voices,, well Chris is weak but no where near what Sanjaya was!! Maybe the judges will get the hint to put through REALLY good singers next year instead of the marginal ones just so they think their favorites will win it... No can do judges,,, you don't pick this one and when you let the general populous vote you will get strange results.

Well just me venting about AI!!

What a Difference A Day Makes

24 little hours.... as the song goes. Anyone who knows my family knows that most any word or little phrase can put us into song. But my heart is singing today, even tho we had a little bit of snow last night and side streets are slippery,,,,, THE SUN IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, that sure does make a spirit light and dance. Thank you God

Is it Christmas or Spring?

I am feeling down today. Because it is the 11th of April and we are having snow. Oh not feet of snow but certainly inches, and it has me feeling so down. Where was this snow in December when all I heard on TV was global warming. Where is global warming now? We had a mild Dec and Jan and then Feb hit with frigid temps but little snow then March came and feet of snow fell then it got warm and then blam April hit and the cold returned with of all things snow, not just cold rain. It is supposed to be April Showers,, not April snow storms!!

Why do we get so bent out of shape about the weather when there is nothing we can do about it and unless it is violent storms it does no major harm? I dont know that is forsure, but I know that today there are a lot of people around here that are really hating this. After all it is the time of year when the tulips and daffodils should be in full bloom and the grass turning green.

Besides that, sometimes I feel there must be something really wrong with me. I feel tired so much of the time and this and that just doesnt always "feel" right. I suppose I should go to the doc and get it checked out, but like others, I dread hearing what might be wrong. Well I suppose if it gets bad enough, I will have to go. But maybe for now, all I need is a good dose of spring and summer.

Blessings to all

Back from vacation- a whole week now

Tomorrow it will be one week since we returned from our vacation to Washington state. We had a good time. We arrived in Seattle at 8:15 in the morning so we got our car and went to the Space Needle. We took the ride up and then went and had the most expensive lunch of OUR lives. I know there are others that spend more then that but $83 for lunch to me is expensive. The food was good and we got to ride around the space needle twice overseeing Seattle. It was good. After that we headed back to our hotel and crashed. We had been up since 3 AM CST

Sat it was raining, really raining. We had breakfast with my niece and her daughter and grand kids, and at noon we met my only living aunt and 2 of her children for lunch. Was good to touch base with them again.

Sunday we got on a tour bus for a 3 hours which turned out to be a 4 hour tour of Seattle. It was very good. We loved every minute. When that was done, we headed down to Vancouver Washington to see my oldest sister. It was a very good visit. She was so gracious to us. I get to see her so very little. I am sure in the last 5 years I hadn't visited with her more then a couple of hours. So we sure enjoyed our stay there. Thur morning we headed back to Seattle and a 6:30 PCT flight to MN. The flight started out soooooo bumpy. I am not a good flyer!!! But the pilot took another route. It was much smoother, but it took us 30 min longer to get home. So we landed at midnight CDT and then it was to get our bags and pick up our car at the park and ride. We got home at 1:30. Of course I could not get right to sleep so I am sure it was between 2:15 and 2:30 when I finally fell asleep and I had to get up at 6:30 to get to work. I was operating in a fog, and I was the only person to man the phones that day. I was in bed by 7:30 Friday night and slept until 6:30 then went back to bed at 9:30 and slept until after 11. It took me all weekend and even Mon and Tue to get back to normal. Today I felt pretty good, even tho my day kinda stunk.

I had a dentist appt and then could not have my teeth cleaned because I forgot that for 2 hears after the knee replacement I have to take an antibiotic before I have dental work done. Then at work one of our tenants really teed me off and tonight on American Idol Gina got sent packing while that hoax of a singer Sanjaya is still there. So so so sick!!

Well that's all for this time..

Blessings
